MDS TRAINING

MDS Training

This fall the Nursing Home Licensure and Certification Section is offering training for MDS coding. Each MDS Coding class is 60 to 90 minutes in length and will be available via Microsoft Teams. There is no charge to the providers and registration is not necessary to link into Teams. We encourage all disciplines participating in completing any section of the MDS to attend.

October 2021 training dates:

Thursday 10/07/2021, 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Session #5- Review MDS sections: X-Correction Request, Z-Assessment Administration, discuss transmissions and validation reports

Each participant should print out or save a copy of the NC MDS 3.0 handout posted on the DHSR training webpage and have it available during the workshop. Having your copy of the RAI Manual may be helpful.
