North Carolina plans to transition to a time-weighted case mix methodology starting with the October 1st, 2021 assessments which will determine rates effective April 1st, 2022.  Assessment nurses will want to think differently about assessment timing and scheduling in order to be successful under this new case mix methodology. This webinar will provide details about the time-weighted methodology and discuss strategies for success under the new system.

2. List the assessments what will be used in the case mix calculation.
3. Articulate the difference between using a picture date and a time-weighted calculation.

About the Speaker
Robin L. Hillier, CPA, LNHA, STNA, RAC-MT

She helped evaluate numerous public policy initiatives related to long term care, and has actively participated in the state budget process, including evaluating budget proposals, drafting and providing testimony and developing alternative proposals. She regularly reviews and comments on CMS-proposed rules and rules proposed in Ohio.
