CMS Provides Flexibility to State Survey Agencies to Help in Clearing Survey Backlog

As we have mentioned on several recent calls, CMS issued guidance to state survey agencies earlier this month providing flexibility as states try to clear the backlog of survey activities resulting from pandemic disruptions. NCHCFA General Counsel Ken Burgess has prepared a helpful summary of the new flexibilities offered, which NCHCFA has asked NC DHHS to utilize to the fullest extent possible.
