NCHCFA proudly presents The MDS and Beyond scheduled in two different locations: March 17th in Raleigh, NC and March 19th in Asheville, NC. Over time, the MDS has gained more importance than it has ever had before. Since October 1, the MDS determines your PDPM payments. It is the driver of your Medicaid case-mix rates. It is also used for your Quality Measures and your Quality Reporting. With the reduction in required assessments that PDPM brought, the 5-day/admission assessment is more crucial than ever. If you have incorrectly coded something on your MDS or have missed coding something completely, the impact can be much broader than just your Medicare payment.

MDS and Beyond: Managing Reimbursement and Quality Metrics will address, from a national expert, the critical areas that are impacted by the completed MDS: PDPM, Case-Mix Reimbursement, the Quality Measures and Quality Reporting System. Our speaker, Robin L. Hillier is back by popular demand! Robin is a healthcare executive dedicated to post-acute and long term care. She is a Certified Public Accountant, a State Tested Nursing Assistant, a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, and is Resident Assessment Coordinator Certified and a Master Teacher through the American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordination (AANAC). Throughout her career she has been involved in all aspects of facility operations, including ownership roles. She is currently the President of RLH Consulting, which provides operational and reimbursement consulting to providers of skilled nursing, assisted living and intellectual or developmental disabilities.
