COVID-19 SPECIAL MOMENT – UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE/FLETCHER HOSTS FAMILY PARADE

UHC Fletcher

This week’s COVID-19 special moment is from Universal Health Care in Fletcher, NC. In celebration of National Skilled Nursing Care Week, facility staff organized special activities for both the residents and staff which included a Family Parade on Wednesday, May 13th!

“There weren’t many dry eyes to be found at Universal Health Care/Fletcher when family members of residents drove through the facility’s parking lot, waving, cheering and holding signs for the loved ones many haven’t seen in two months. The celebration kicked off with Fletcher Mayor Rod Whiteside reading an official proclamation in support of National Skilled Nursing Care Week over the facility’s intercom for all residents and staff to hear.” Click here to view images from the Blue Ridge Now Times-News Online. Thank you to Zoe Tasker, Western Regional Director of Admissions, for sharing this special moment!

We hope you too will share your videos and/or photos, messages, etc. with us (ensure the privacy of residents and patients by acquiring the approval of patients and residents to use their images via authorization forms before sharing). Please send your special moments to Allison Dew at allisond@nchcfa.org. We look forward to sharing these uplifting memories with you in the future.
