Additional COVID-19 Guidance: Wearing and Requesting PPE
In addition to vaccines and boosters, well-fitting, multi-layer masks are another important layer of protection against the spread of the virus. If possible, wear a surgical or procedure mask, a KN95, or an N95. NCDHHS is making adult N95 masks available for staff in long-term care facilities.

Additionally, please note that Long-term care facilities can request N95 masks online, and LTC requests will be prioritized. Long-term care facilities should use the “Healthcare Partners PPE Request Form” and indicate their Type of Provider. Use of these N95s is considered voluntary use and therefore fit-testing is not required.
