CMS Provides Information on SNF Provider Enrollment Site Visit Contractors
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) posted an article in the MLN Matters weekly newsletter regarding the two SNF provider enrollment site visit contractors that have been confusing many members because it is a new process. In particular, the site visit contractors often subcontract the persons who go the SNF to take photographs of the building and verify it is operational to companies with unfamiliar names. This MLN article lists the specific names of these site visit contractors and subcontractors, as well as where providers can go for more information.
CMS conducts authorized enrollment site visits to verify operational status. Site visit inspectors carry a photo ID and CMS-issued letter of authorization that you may review but not retain or copy. Enrollment site visits are conducted by our two Site Verification Services Contractors:
- East: Palmetto GBA and its subcontractors:
- Overland Solutions, Inc., an affiliate of EXL
- Information Discovery Services
- Compliance Review, Inc.
- National Creditors Connection, Inc.
- West: Deloitte Consulting, LLP and its subcontractors:
- Nationwide Management Services, Inc.
- CSI Companies, Inc.
- Arthur Lawrence Management, LLC
- Computer Evidence Specialists, LLC
