Representative Donna White and Senator Benton Sawrey visit Smithfield Manor Nursing and Rehab

NCHCFA Member Smithfield Manor Nursing and Rehab hosted Representative Donna White, Chair of the House Health Committee, and Senator Benton Sawrey, Senate Health Care Committee, for a visit and discussion on May 19.

Members of the Arnn Family, leaders from Smithfield Manor, and NCHCFA President & CEO Adam Sholar discussed the challenges currently facing member nursing facilities and the importance of adequate Medicaid funding in the coming year.  

Both Rep. White and Sen. Sawrey offered their heartfelt thanks for the conversation, as well as the hard work of the caregivers at Smithfield Manor.
