NEWLY RELEASED MEDICAID BULLETIN

A Medicaid Bulletin was recently released that includes information on several topics pertinent to nursing facilities.  These include:

• Prior approval for beneficiaries who move from NC Medicaid Managed Care to Medicaid Direct
• The end-date of Taxonomy Code 313M00000X (Nursing Home-Intermediate Care Level of Care)
• Continuation of temporary suspension of Level I and Level II assessments for new nursing home admissions
