Help Make our CNA Recruitment Effort a Success

NC CareGivers logo

NC CareGivers is proud to partner with North Carolina’s skilled nursing facilities to address the critical shortage of certified nurse aides in our state. NC CareGivers is a recruitment and training program that highlights the benefits of starting not just a job, but a meaningful career caring for our aging population.

The NC CareGivers campaign has been broadcast statewide, across television, radio, digital, and social media, and we’ve reached hundreds of thousands of people with our nurse aide recruitment offer. Thanks to partners like you, NC CareGivers’ incentives include reimbursed CNA training and testing and a $500 bonus after six months of employment, full- or part-time.

Nearly all of North Carolina’s community colleges and proprietary schools have joined our partnership as well: they are training caring individuals every day, preparing them for their nurse aide test and future employment with skilled nursing facilities like yours.

NC CareGivers has strived to streamline your process for hiring newly certified nurse aides. As you’ll see in our “How-To” video, participating in NC CareGivers is easy. Your administrative staff need only spend a few minutes to ensure the program’s continued success by entering NC CareGivers’ student ID numbers and dates of hire in our easy online interface. Your cooperation provides the metrics required by DHHS and CMS to continue funding our program.

NC CareGivers’ incentives will also be of interest to current staff members who wish to advance their careers in health care. Our website – NCCareGivers.org – has all the details for registering, choosing a nurse aide training site, and connecting with participating employers like you. The NC CareGivers advertising campaign will be ramping up in the weeks ahead, as students prepare for the new year and the new nurse aide training semester. Make the most of this opportunity to recruit CNAs through your participation.

NC CareGivers’ students are looking for employers all across the state. If you haven’t already joined our effort, contact us today to be sure we’re including your skilled nursing facility on our website and in our promotions.

FutureCare NC established NC CareGivers as part of its strong commitment in caring for skilled nursing residents, in partnership with the Department of Health and Human Services. This comprehensive, multi-year program aims to provide at least 4,000 new nurse aides with incentives to help them work in the skilled nursing.
