CDC Develops Antibiotic Resistance & Patient Safety Portal

The Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) has developed an Antibiotic Resistance & Patient Safety Portal (AR&PSP) which enables you to explore and visualize data on antimicrobial resistance and patient safety across multiple health care settings and different geographic locations.   

The CDC recently highlighted new updates on the portal that may be of interest to long term care providers:    

• A new page for Healthcare-Associated Infections in Dialysis featuring 2019 data  
• Explore 2021-2022 data on the new Healthcare Personnel Influenza Vaccination page   
• Latest data from 2021 on the Core Elements of Antibiotic Stewardship for Nursing Homes implementation page
