2024 NCHCFA Annual Awards Nomination Now Open

Nominations are open for the 2024 NCHCFA Annual Awards through October 20, 2023. The NCHCFA Annual Awards program honors individuals who are the backbone of our facilities because of the care they provide to residents.   

Acknowledge front-line, unlicensed personnel who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in the long term care profession by submitting a nomination. The awards criteria are:  

• Only one staff member per discipline may be nominated from a facility.  
• Nominee must not be a previous winner.  
• Only unlicensed personnel may be nominated.  
• Nominee must have a minimum of five years of service in the long term care profession.  
• Preferred: If selected as a winner, a representative from the facility should plan to attend the Annual Awards Gala with the winner during the NCHCFA Convention & Expo in Greensboro on Monday, February 19, 2024, in Greensboro, NC.

A panel of judges from the Education and Programs Committee will select a Nurse Aide winner from each of NCHCFA’s five districts. In addition, one recipient in a non-nursing discipline will receive the Riley W. Clapp Outstanding Service award. At the conclusion of the Annual Awards Gala, one of the five Nurse Aide winners is recognized as the J.R. Garrett Direct Care Worker of the Year Award for the exceptional service they provide to North Carolina’s long term care residents.
