NCHCFA Partnering with AHCA on the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program

NCHCFA partnered with AHCA to ask the US Department of Education to make employees of Medicare and/or Medicaid participating Skilled Nursing Facilities eligible for student loan forgiveness under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program.  

This action would benefit not only those individuals caring for our nation’s frail elderly who need round-the-clock medical care, but also help to make elder care a viable career path for nurses and others with student loan debt.
