Nursing Facilities Have Access to Tax Credits, Grants, and Other Supports

The Office of Climate Change and Health Equity (OCCHE) has launched a “catalytic program” to support health care providers, including nursing facilities, in taking advantage of the tax credits, grants, and other supports made available by the historic Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). This legislation creates unprecedented opportunities for health sector organizations to make investments in clean energy, building efficiency, infrastructure resilience, and more.  
 
More details on the initiative were provided during a November 30 information session, which is now available at this link. Some of the items specifically mentioned in this webinar that could be acquired by providers using this program include generators, HVAC systems, and even solar microgrids.
