Join speaker, Robin Hillier, with RLH Consulting to review the methodology for calculating time-weighted case-mix scores for North Carolina Medicaid. This session will include a detailed review of a sample resident roster report generated from the first quarter utilizing the time-weighted methodology. Attendees are encouraged to review their preliminary resident roster reports prior to the session and have their report available during the session. This session will also highlight assessment scheduling strategies to consider as we learn how to navigate the new case-mix methodology.

Objectives: At the end of this session, attendees will

1. Describe how time-weighted case mix differs from point-in-time case mix
2. Articulate how multiple assessments are weighted to calculate quarterly case mix scores
3. Explain how to review case mix reports
4. Explain how case mix scores influence Medicaid rates
