UPDATE Weekly

On Tuesday, December 11th from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will be holding a call on the new Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM). On October 1, 2019, PDPM is replacing the current Resource Utilization Group, Version IV (RUG-IV) for the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Prospective Payment System (PPS).

Alliant Quality, the QIN-QIO for Georgia and North Carolina announces its new goal, Quality Care from the Perspectives of People Living with Dementia. Their new quality goal to improve care for individuals living with dementia focuses on knowing the person, building on strengths, filling days with positive moments, and proactively addressing unmet needs. NCHCFA has scheduled the AHCA/NCAL Silver Quality Award Workshop. A requirement of the program is to receive a Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award before applying at the Silver level. The Silver Quality Award Workshop is being offered November 28th – 29th in Raleigh, NC. At the end of this workshop, participants will have the framework for the Silver AHCA/NCAL Quality Award application.
