PATIENT DRIVEN PAYMENT MODEL CALL

On Tuesday, December 11th from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will be holding a call on the new Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM). On October 1, 2019, PDPM is replacing the current Resource Utilization Group, Version IV (RUG-IV) for the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Prospective Payment System (PPS).

ALLIANT QUALITY ANNOUNCES NEW GOAL

Alliant Quality, the QIN-QIO for Georgia and North Carolina announces its new goal, Quality Care from the Perspectives of People Living with Dementia. Their new quality goal to improve care for individuals living with dementia focuses on knowing the person, building on strengths, filling days with positive moments, and proactively addressing unmet needs. The new goal includes appropriate use and reduction of psychotropic medication as part of whole-person care. For more information click here.

NCHCFA PRESENTS AHCA/NCAL NATIONAL BRONZE QUALITY AWARD WORKSHOP DECEMBER 6TH

NCHCFA has scheduled the AHCA/NCAL Bronze Quality Award Workshop. The first level is Bronze, Commitment to Quality. The second Bronze Quality Award Workshop is being offered December 6th in Raleigh, NC. Last year, 8 of out 10 facilities that attended the Bronze Quality Award workshop received the Bronze Quality Award! NCHCFA PRESENTS AHCA/NCAL NATIONAL SILVER QUALITY AWARD WORKSHOPS

NCHCFA has scheduled the AHCA/NCAL Silver Quality Award Workshop. A requirement of the program is to receive a Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award before applying at the Silver level. The Silver Quality Award Workshop is being offered November 28th – 29th in Raleigh, NC. At the end of this workshop, participants will have the framework for the Silver AHCA/NCAL Quality Award application.
