As part of the preparations for the implementation of ICD-10, NCTracks is conducting a Provider Readiness Survey. The survey is brief, only 7 questions. Providers should be able to complete it in 5 minutes or less. The link to the survey is below.

(Note: this survey is being sent to all providers and is not related to ICD-10 testing.)

Please be candid in your responses. If you have not started ICD-10 preparations yet, they want to know that. The survey is completely anonymous.

Responses are requested by 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 27.

In an effort to gauge progress in provider preparedness, the survey will be sent again to providers every 2-3 months as NCTracks moves toward October 1. As you make progress in your preparations for ICD-10, you can note your current status in subsequent surveys.

For some providers, the survey will not apply because they do not use ICD-9 diagnosis or procedure codes. If so, you are still welcome to complete the first two questions of the survey and then it will skip to the end.

The results of the survey will be used to help us more effectively approach this important transition. The results will also be reported to CMS. As noted, all responses are anonymous.

The Education and Programs committee needs your help! We hope you will join us and participate in celebrating the Association’s 60th Anniversary during the NCHCFA Diamond Jubilee. Please submit photographs, articles, interesting facts, important dates, individual corporate and/or facility historical details, and any additional information that reflects back on the last 60 years in long term care. The more photographs the better! A special presentation is being developed to show during the Diamond Jubilee Celebration in Greensboro, NC. In addition, this information will be used for many years to come as a permanent historical record of NCHCFA and the story of our membership.

The committee’s goal is to have at least one historically significant detail from all NCHCFA members! Don’t miss this special opportunity to commemorate our founding leaders and extraordinary members from the past, present, and future. Please submit items by Friday, February 6th. In 1979, Don G. Angell of Clemmons, NC served as the President of NCHCFA’s Board of Directors. At that time, the Association had 160 member facilities across the state of North Carolina. During his “Presidential Tour” Mr. Angell visited all 160 members throughout the state!
