The Division of Health Service Regulation has issued an “Interested Parties Letter” concerning proposed rule changes to 10A NCAC 13D .2210 REPORTING AND INVESTIGATING ABUSE, NEGLECT OR MISAPPROPRIATION. The change is proposed as follows: (b) the facility shall ensure that the Health Care Personnel Registry Section of the Division of Health Service Regulation is notified within one working day 24 hours of the facility’s becoming aware of any allegation against health care personnel as defined in G.S. 131E-256(a)(1). This recommendation was made during the rules review ordered by former Governor Perdue and places the time frame for reporting in line with Federal guidelines.
