ESSENTIAL CARE, ESSENTIAL JOBS INITIATIVE IN NORTH CAROLINA OFFERING BROWN BAG POLICY SERIES ON NC’S ESSENTIAL DIRECT CARE WORKFORCE

Essential workers

The Essential Care, Essential Jobs™ initiative in North Carolina is a multi-year partnership between the North Carolina Coalition on Aging and PHI, a national organization focused on strengthening the direct care workforce. The initiative aims to advance policy reforms for direct care workers as a critical step toward ensuring quality care for older adults and people with disabilities.

Almost 120,000 direct care workers support the health and wellbeing of older adults and people with disabilities across North Carolina. Despite their enormous value, these workers struggle for adequate recognition, compensation, and support. But change is in the air! Join the North Carolina Coalition on Aging and PHI for this webinar series to learn about efforts to invest in and improve direct care jobs—and about how you can help.
