AHCA Product of the Week – Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Training

Working in skilled nursing, assisted living and ID/DD settings is incredibly rewarding. It is also stressful due to the demands and pressures faced on a daily basis. The workforce crisis and COVID-19 have exacerbated this stress creating even more challenges for those who work in long-term care. To help staff members manage those challenges, ahcancalED has launched two new online courses ideal for all frontline staff and leadership in long-term care facilities struggling with daily work and life stresses.  These courses are intended to be one tool in the toolbox to help improve staff retention.       

This course is aimed at reinvigorating individual passion for long-term care by providing the tools and resources needed to decrease perceived stress levels and help other team members do the same to aid with staff retention. After attending this session, participants will be able to:   

  • Identify stressful situations within their environment. 
  • Employ stress reduction techniques that work. 
  • Decrease their overall perceived stress levels.
     

Cost: $199 for AHCA/NCAL members | $249 for non-members
