REMINDER! Federal Program Offers Free COVID-19 Tests to SNFs

The NC Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) COVID-19 Testing Team announces an opportunity for skilled nursing facilities (including long-term care and nursing home facilities) to request free COVID-19 test supplies from the federal government.     

To submit a request, send an email to tdx@hhs.gov with the following information:   

• A copy of your facility’s current CLIA waiver  
• The name and address of your facility  
• The name, e-mail, and phone number of your facility POC  
• The number of employees in your facility  
• The number of tests per week you require    

Because the limited number of state distributed tests that remain available are focused on community distribution to under/uninsured individuals, we encourage all skilled nursing facilities in need of COVID-19 tests to utilize this resource.
