ONE WEEK LEFT TO REGISTER! DON’T MISS MDS 3.0 – WHAT EVERY FACILITY NEEDS TO KNOW – FROM A PROVIDER’S PERSPECTIVE

MDS 3.0 BANNER WITH SPONSOR

NCHCFA presents MDS 3.0 – What Every Facility Needs to Know – From a Provider’s Perspective with speaker Robin Hiller, President of RLH Consulting.

Effective October 1, 2020 North Carolina will require providers to provide information necessary to calculate PDPM HIPPS codes along with RUG scores for all OBRA assessments.  Providers are familiar with the coding instructions for these items as it relates to Part A beneficiaries, but coding these items for long stay residents on quarterly, annual, and significant change in status assessments poses some unique challenges.  Further complicating matters, CMS has announced that they will not be releasing an RAI manual update this year. This leaves providers without specific clarification as to how to adapt these newly required items to the long-term care population.

This session will review, from the provider’s perspective, the items that will soon be required in sections GG, I and J.  We will review the coding instructions for these items, discuss how Medicaid will use the data collected and provide strategies for facilities to efficiently provide the additional information. There will also be ample time for providers to have their questions answered.
