NCHCFA COMMENTS ON PROPOSED NURSE AIDE RECIPROCITY RULE

NCHCFA submitted a letter this week to the North Carolina Medical Care Commission regarding its recently proposed temporary rule to allow Nurse Aides registered in other states to work in North Carolina.  You can read the letter here.  NCHCFA thanked the Commission for moving forward with a reciprocity option, something the Association has advocated for, but also asked for changes to be made to the final rule to further streamline the approach and to add an even more streamlined approach available during state or federally declared States of Emergency.  NCHCFA President and CEO Adam Sholar also spoke to the Medical Care Commission yesterday during its meeting about this matter.
