COVID-19 SPECIAL MOMENT – 80 CARS, 12 MOTORCYCLES AND 3 AIRPLANES – MURPHY, NC

2020 COVID-19 Special Moment May 13

The town of Murphy, North Carolina celebrated the residents of Murphy Rehabilitation & Nursing Facility with a parade on May 4th to cheer up residents and their family members. The entire community was involved including the police and fire departments, and included 80 cars, 12 motorcycles and 3 airplanes. The flyby wasn’t by the Blue Angels but was a great small town equivalent! The parade was streamed live on Facebook by the local public access TV station and was about 1 hour long. WKRB3 Chattanooga covered the event and can be viewed here. Thank you to Kelly Roberts and Amy Jones for organizing this event!

We hope you too will share your videos and/or photos, messages, etc. with us (ensure the privacy of residents and patients by acquiring the approval of patients and residents to use their images via authorization forms before sharing). Please send your special moments to Allison Dew at allisond@nchcfa.org. We look forward to sharing these uplifting memories with you in the future.
