Webinar Transitioning Case Mix

If you did not have the opportunity to attend our webinar on May 19th, Transitioning to Time-Weighted Case Mix with speaker, Robin Hillier, you can now register and watch it on-demand.

North Carolina plans to transition to a time-weighted case mix methodology effective with the April 1, 2022 rates, which will use assessments starting October 1, 2021. Assessment nurses will want to think differently about assessment timing and scheduling in order to be successful under this new case mix methodology. This webinar will provide details about the time-weighted methodology and discuss strategies for success under the new system.

Objectives:
At the end of the presentation, attendees will be able to:

  1. Describe the transition timeline.
  2. List the assessments what will be used in the case mix calculation.
  3. Articulate the difference between using a picture date and a time-weighted calculation.
  4. Develop a transition strategy for their facility.
