BINGOCIZE®!

Are you looking for a new fun activity for your residents? A North Carolina University-based team is looking for nursing homes interested in providing this unique activity program to residents. Bingocize® is an evidence-based program that combines exercise, health education, and Bingo that is beneficial for all ranges of physical and mental abilities. Research has shown that Bingocize® participation increases social engagement, improves functional/gait performance, and improves aspects of executive function (Crandall et al., 2015; Crandall & Shake, 2016; Falls et al., 2018; Shake & Crandall, 2018; Stevens et al., 2018). Residents play Bingocize® twice per week for about an hour. Led by trained nursing home staff, residents perform gentle strength, range of motion, and balance exercises interspersed with bingo, which is continued until a participant wins and awarded a small prize. Bingocize® is NOT intended to replace an existing loved bingo activity at a participating facility
