MEDICAID COVID-19 EXPEDITED HARDSHIP PAYMENT ADVANCE PROCESS

NC Medicaid has created an expedited hardship payment advance process for nursing facilities caring for COVID-19 positive residents. The program will provide an advance of 2 times the amount of your average monthly Medicaid billings from January and February 2020. This amount is designed as a cash infusion, and will be in addition to your continued regular billings to NC Medicaid. The advance will be recouped on a schedule negotiated with NC Medicaid and the recoupment process will not begin before July 5, 2020.  The details of this expedited process can be found here.
