NCHCFA Advocates Against Unfunded Minimum Staffing Requirement for Skilled Nursing Facilities
Last week NCHCFA President and CEO Adam Sholar sent a letter to CMS Administrator Brooks-LaSure asking CMS not to implement a specific HPPD minimum staffing requirement. You can read the letter here.
Reasons for not implementing such a requirement include the unprecedented workforce shortages members are currently encountering. Data also shows North Carolina nursing facilities already exceed by roughly 10% the staffing expected for our patient population under CMS’s STRIVE study.
