Unexpected Payments for 2024 Quarter 3

Nursing facilities may have noticed an unexpected payment in their most recent check-write. This payment is a settlement for a retroactive reduction in the provider assessment for the quarter beginning July 1, 2024. The provider assessment reduction was due to a temporary increase in the federal match. Settlements for the prior impacted quarters had previously been made.
