NEW WEBINAR SERIES! Wound Management: Beyond Skin Deep Begins on October 30

Join NCHCFA for a six-week Wound Management: Beyond Skin Deep webinar series presented by Janine Lehman, Director of Legal Nurse Consulting, with Proactive LTC Consulting. The series begins on October 30. All sessions are from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.   

This series reviews best practices for wound prevention and wound care management. Emphasis will be on avoiding common areas where facilities go wrong related to assessment, care planning, treatment, documentation and coding, and effective communication protocols related to skin and wound care management.

• November 6, Wound MDS Coding and CAA Documentation Essentials 
• November 13, Key Elements of Care Planning for Wound Care 
• November 20, Wound Care Management Best Practices 
• December 4, Wound Care Documentation and Notification Essentials 
• December 11, Wound Prevention and QAPI Necessities 
• NOTE ABOUT THE SCHEDULE: There is no webinar on November 27 due to Thanksgiving the following day.

At the conclusion of the series, participants will: 

• Grow wound assessment, treatment, and documentation skills 
• Meet CMS wound-related requirements for effective MDS coding, CAA, and care planning 
• Avoid common pitfalls in wound care programs that contribute to poor clinical outcomes, survey deficiencies, and potential litigation
