Managing the PDPM Transition Successfully

The transition to PDPM for case mix classification has begun for North Carolina Medicaid. This session will provide the most current update on the transition schedule and highlight key features of the PDPM components that will be used in the blended case mix scores. All convention attendees will benefit from the strategies and action plan that will be provided.
Objectives:
1. Identify the PDPM components that will be used in the blended case mix score.
2. Describe the transition schedule to PDPM.
3. Establish an action plan for successful transition.

The State of Rates: Key Updates for Nursing Facilities
Presented by Sam Clark, VP of Finance, NCHCFA
This session will provide an update on current reimbursement trends across Medicaid, Medicare, Fair Rental Value and PDPM case-mix. Attendees will also hear a brief recap of what’s happened over the past year and what we may realistically expect for rates in the coming year. The goal is to give members a clear, practical picture of the reimbursement landscape so they can plan ahead with confidence.
