Two More Exciting Education Sessions Round Out Convention  

During Batten Down the Hatches: Alliant QIO and Centers of Excellence for Behavioral Health Update at 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, February 25, Marilee Johnson, State Quality Manager for NC, and Dawn Gentry, Quality Advisor for NC, Alliant Health Solutions, will provide an update on their new planned work for quality improvement in nursing homes and nursing home behavioral health education from the Center of Excellence. Marilee and Dawn will explain the goals over the next five years and the work they will be doing to support nursing homes.  

After EXPO 2025, join Becky Wertz, Section Chief, and Karen Roquemore, Assistant Section Chief, NC DHSR, for the Past Noncompliance in Nursing Homes session at 3:30 p.m. Becky and Karen will present the required steps for a nursing home to implement and document a corrective action plan to correct a self-identified problem in the nursing home. The session will provide examples of when an alleged corrective action plan does not meet criteria for past noncompliance. The session will also provide examples of an acceptable corrective action plan that demonstrated past noncompliance.
