Concurrent Sessions Offer a Robust Slate of Information

On Monday, February 24, NCHCFA Convention & Expo attendees will face a difficult decision about which concurrent sessions to attend at 2:15 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. There are three great sessions lined up with something for everyone.

Veronica Cool, Owner of Cool & Associates, LLC, will present on Unlocking the Potential of the Latino and Bilingual Workforce. This workshop will explore how cultural competence, consistent outreach, and strategic community partnerships can help recruit and retain this valuable talent pool. Attendees will leave equipped with tools to address workforce shortages, improve workplace culture, and create meaningful opportunities for diverse talent, ultimately enhancing care and compassion for nursing home residents.

From Recruitment to Retention: Implementing Your Organization’s Mission and Values will be co-presented by NCHCFA’s Mark Gogal, Vice President of Workforce Development, and Eric Kivisto, Director of Quality Improvement Projects. They will explore the best practices and strategies vital for aligning an organization’s workforce with your mission and values. By fostering a culture that emphasizes employee engagement and growth, facilities can attract top talent and ensure long-term commitment to their vision and residents.

Lastly is Unlocking Success in Value-Based Reimbursement: Strategies for LTPAC Operators. In this session co-presented by PointClickCare’s Travis Palmquist, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Emerging Markets, and Anthony Laflen, Vice President of Value-Based Care, they will explore the national and state-level trends driving this shift, with a focus on actionable strategies to thrive under emerging payment models. They will also guide attendees through the process of building a proforma to identify financial opportunities and operational improvements and highlight how advanced predictive analytics can unlock gain-sharing revenues, reduce avoidable hospitalizations, and drive sustainable success.
