The Future of AI in Long Term Care presented by Allison Rainey and Daniel Zhu, MatrixCare, on February 24 

This session will explore how AI-driven solutions can proactively address the unique challenges faced by seniors, from monitoring health conditions to improving social engagement. Attendees will gain insights into innovative applications of AI in telehealth, predictive analytics, and personalized care plans. Join us to discover how these advancements can lead to improved health outcomes, increased quality of life, and more efficient caregiving processes.  

NCHCFA Regulatory Update presented by Bekka Cheek, NCHCFA Director of Regulatory and Clinical Services, and Hawley Hunt, AHCA/NCAL Director of Regulatory and Quality Services, on February 24 

Bekka will discuss regulatory topics, survey trends, IDR, and top deficiencies for North Carolina during the 9:45 a.m. session. Bekka will also discuss some hot topic issues/concerns and answer any questions. Hawley will join at the end to review the newly revised Appendix PP guidance and provide an overview of key regulatory resource websites.  

NCHCFA Reimbursement Update presented by Sam Clark, NCHCFA Vice President of Finance on February 24  

Closing out the morning educational sessions at 11:30 a.m., Sam will discuss many topics of importance including Medicare, Medicaid, Fair Rental Value, Managed Care, and more.
