Handout Available: State Strategies to Revitalize the LTC Workforce

Last December, Advancing Excellence (AE) held a webinar that highlighted the workforce needs of long term and post-acute care facilities.   

The webinar also reviewed initiatives it has in the works to address them – including career pathways for certified nursing assistants, efforts to bolster the ranks of nursing home administrators, and the New Americans in the Long-Term Care Workforce grant. Presenters included officials from three AHCA/NCAL state affiliates (California Association of Health Facilities, Florida Health Care Association, and Care Providers of Minnesota). Plus, The Council of State Governments discussed their latest workforce efforts.
