COVID-19 SPECIAL MOMENT – AYDEN COMMUNITY SUPPORTS AYDEN COURT NURSING HOME
Ayden town leaders and community members showed their support on April 22nd at Ayden Court Nursing Home. A motor caravan of public service departments (police, fire utilities) and community members was led by Mayor Steve Tripp. This event was to let facility residents know they are loved and not forgotten! And to convey to facility staff, appreciation in caring for our loved ones! It also recognized the town’s dedicated public service employees. Every facility resident AND staff member received handwritten cards of love and appreciation. These cards were written by various community members including children, teenagers and adults. WITN covered the event and can be viewed here. Thank you to Ruth Little, Ed.D., MPH, Department of Public Health at East Carolina University, for organizing and sharing this event!
We hope you too will share your videos and/or photos, messages, etc. with us (ensure the privacy of residents and patients by acquiring the approval of patients and residents to use their images via authorization forms before sharing). Please send your special moments to Allison Dew at allisond@nchcfa.org. We look forward to sharing these uplifting memories with you in the future.
