NCHCFA Annual Convention & Expo Spotlight

There are a few educational session changes we would like to make everyone aware of at the NCHCFA Annual Convention & Expo on February 23 – 26 in Greensboro, NC. Click here to learn more and register.

Keynote Speaker Devin Henderson Replaces Kansas City Chiefs Mascot Dan Meers

Due to a personal conflict, Dan Meers will not speak on Tuesday, February 25, and he hopes to join us at the NCHCFA Fall Symposium in September. Keynote Speaker Devin Henderson will help you Share Your Magic during the opening session at 8:00 a.m. now.

When you cultivate a culture of “magic makers” you’ll enjoy highly engaged teams who are maximizing their impact because they are motivated for all the right reasons. You will learn how sharing your “magic” can lead to spontaneous moments of elation, increased confidence, a greater impact at work and at home, and, most importantly, a deeply fulfilled life and satisfying career.

Devin is a multi-talented powerhouse: an experienced presenter and seasoned performer, having logged thousands of performances as an award-winning comedian and magician and an in-demand keynote speaker. His unique combination of skills and storytelling and his hilarious and engaging interaction are what make him an audience favorite.

NC DHSR Speakers Announced

Becky Wertz, Section Chief, and Karen Roquemore, Assistant Section Chief, with NC DHSR, are the confirmed speakers for the Past Noncompliance in Nursing Homes session on Tuesday, February 25 at 3:30 p.m.

Becky and Karen will present the required steps for a nursing home to implement and document a corrective action plan to correct a self-identified problem in the nursing home. The session will provide examples of when an alleged corrective action plan does not meet criteria for past noncompliance. The session will also provide examples of an acceptable corrective action plan that demonstrated past noncompliance.
