Title: The COVID Era: Workforce Strategies For Adapting & Succeeding
Date: June 18, 2020
Time: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

Description:  A new era of staffing challenges is here. COVID-19 presented the world with many uncertainties, but one truth remains—the only way to ensure quality resident care and the success of your organization is a stable, engaged workforce. Join our experts as they discuss how COVID-19 has shaped the state of senior care both today and for the future.

During the webinar we’ll discuss:

  • The current state of staffing in senior care and how COVID-19 will continue to influence the future of the workforce
  • Best practices for recruiting from the newly created talent pool of displaced workers
  • Strategies for better communicating with and supporting staff during these turbulent times

Plus, we’ll share real-life examples of the tactics senior care providers are adapting to meet this new way of life.

About the Speaker:  Peter Corless is a recognized HR leader in post-acute care and is well-known for his achievements at some of the country’s largest post-acute care organizations, including Kindred Healthcare and Genesis HealthCare. As an experienced, international chief administrative and human resources officer within these organizations, he developed strategies that reduced turnover, improved recruiting and hiring strategies, and reduced labor costs. In October 2015, Peter was elected the Associate Business Member (ABM) President for the American Health Care Association (AHCA). Prior to that, Peter served as the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living’s liaison to multi-facility operator executives, where he worked with senior executives at the largest operators to ensure their issues are at the forefront of AHCA/NCAL policy. Peter received his BA from the University of Waterloo and his MBA from York University’s Schulich School of Business.
