The Peer Review Meritorious Performer Program is a new and innovative program developed by the Standards
and Ethics Committee of the NCHCFA. The purpose of the Peer Review Meritorious Performer Program is to
recognize facilities that excel in management practices surrounding six performance foci: Customer Relations;
Staff Orientation and Development; Risk Management; Staff Empowerment; Community Relations and Quality of
Life.
The Meritorious Performer Program is a “raise the bar” initiative; therefore participation by member
facilities is voluntary and performed at the request of the administrator.
A score of 90% or above qualifies a facility to be a North Carolina Health Care Facilities Association
Peer Review Meritorious Performer. Meritorious Performer facilities will receive a plaque for display
and recognition at the Annual Convention and Expo. The recognition as a Meritorious Performer is eligible
for reinstatement every two years.
As are all activities of the Peer Review Programs, strict confidentiality is maintained.
